Clarke Wayne is a Canadian scriptwriter, novelist, and director. She writes thrillers, sci-fi, and horror, and has a passion for enigmatic stories with realistic characters.

As a freelance ghostwriter, she has written several books, scripts, and short stories for a wide variety of audiences. She specializes in ‘unputdownable’ mystery books and scripts, and her psychological thriller, All Junkies Float, was a finalist in the ScreenCraft Cinematic Book competition in 2021. Her scripts have placed in multiple contests including the Big Break. You can find her writing in short story collections and coming to life in short films. She is also a writing instructor at the University of Winnipeg where she teaches grammar and editing.

NEWS ABOUT CLARKE

Clarke has recently been hired by M85 Studios to write Ava, a 55-page pilot, based on their short film of the same name. Clarke’s short film Matchmaker is complete and in post-production with Sleeping Dog Films. Produced in association with the OurToba Film Network, Clarke's short film Qupid was completed for the 48-Hour Film Festival and is planned for a festival run in 2025.
