Dayna is an internationally experienced Stunt Coordinator, Action Designer and Horse Master with over 30 years in the film and television industry, including the past 15 years leading stunt departments across television, feature films and commercial productions of all sizes.

She began her career on Xena: Warrior Princess as Lucy Lawless’ stunt double and stunt rider, building a strong foundation in equestrian action and technical stunt performance. Over the past two decades, she has performed as a lead stunt double for internationally recognised actors including Charlize Theron, Tilda Swinton, Lynda Carter, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bridget Regan, Ingrid Bolso Berdal and many more.

Dayna is best known for her work on Wonder Woman and Mad Max: Fury Road, along with Avatar, Snow White and the Huntsman, Hercules, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

As a Stunt Coordinator, Dayna specialises in delivering powerful, cinematic and safety-driven action sequences across a wide range of production scales — from large television series to independent films and high-end commercials. Her areas of expertise include: fire burns and high-risk fire sequences; complex equestrian action and mounted combat; wire work and rigging; high falls and large-scale stunt logistics and safety management

As an accomplished Horse Master, trainer and rider, Dayna works with a specialised team of stunt horses trained in trick riding, liberty work, rearing and precision performance. This allows productions to execute complex mounted action sequences efficiently and safely.

A multi-award winner (SAG & Artemis winner, Taurus nominee), Dayna combines creative action design with strong on-set leadership, technical precision and a safety-first approach.

In addition to her coordination work, Dayna is the owner of New Zealand Stunt School Ltd, where she develops emerging stunt talent and upholds professional safety standards within the industry.

With over three decades of experience and recognised specialties in fire burns and equestrian action, Dayna delivers complete stunt coordination and action design solutions for productions worldwide.
