J.P. Haynes is a multi-platform writer, producer and entertainment executive. She is the brainchild behind all things Infecting Change (IC) and the visionary at the helm of that culture. An American screenwriter, playwright, director, producer, author, and creative entrepreneur, she has served as a VP of Live Events & a Studio Consultant as well as Creative Director for various national campaigns and projects. J.P. is a member of the Dramatist’s Guild of America, ARRAY (founded in 2011 by filmmaker Ava DuVernay), U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC) and ForbesBLK.
A Mississippi native who currently works primarily in Atlanta & New York, Haynes is also the creative mind, book writer and librettist of Selma the Musical: The Untold Stories. J.P.’s vision for immersive theatre and innovative storytelling in film and television is what sets her apart in the world of entertainment. The award-winning, production of Selma the Musical has been featured on Good Morning America and has debuted at notable venues such as New York’s National Black Theater and The Royal Caribbean. Haynes capitalized on her national success with Selma the Musical by transforming the musical theatre masterpiece into a 4-episode miniseries for television. Additionally, J.P. is a Script Consultant, Executive Producer, Director, Assistant Director & Show Creator in film, television & live theatre. Haynes is the host and lead producer of the podcast Creatives. Black Women. Entrepreneurs & Other Stuff that has garnered a #1 rating on various podcast platforms. J.P. has stood behind the curtain and the lens of independent artistry and production profiting her with an unalloyed, sobering comprehension of the grit behind the glam.
Haynes is the Chairman & CEO of IC Global and founder of subsidiaries such as IC Productions, ICTV, Inc. & IC Theatre Co.
